    Beschreibung

No damage history. Private ownership since new. Zero Corrosion. Always Hangared Great pedigree and maintenance history. Recent interior detail work and recent exterior paint. VFR Airplane. Always in annual since return to service in 2017. Amazing example of a Cessna 172A model, brought back into service in 2017 by some of the best technicians available. Flown exclusively by one commercial pilot with 50+ years of flying experience. Typically flown twice a week and no less than twice a month. Hangared in the dry California climate, and the aircraft's condition reflects it. The aircraft has flown 50–100 hours per year, exclusively with its current pilot. Reliability is extremely high, with a strict "no-go" policy for maintenance issues. I have difficulty remembering a time when it didn't start on the second blade and complete its mission. Performance & STOL Characteristics The swept-back tail and fastback design, combined with 40 degrees of Fowler flaps, a push-button-activated Johnson bar, and high-stance landing gear, make this an ideal short takeoff and landing aircraft. Powered by a Continental O-300 145 HP, 6-cylinder engine, the aircraft provides: 133 MPH cruise Approximately 7.5 GPH fuel burn I occasionally fly nonstop between KEMT (El Monte Airport, Los Angeles) and KSQL (San Carlos Airport, San Francisco Bay Area), California. My nonstop flight times range from 2 hours 47 minutes to 4 hours 12 minutes, depending on winds. I typically land with more than one hour of fuel remaining. Maintenance & Reliability This aircraft has been on an annual inspection schedule since 2017, and I typically budget $2,000–$2,500 for each annual inspection. My approach during annual inspections is to perform progressive maintenance enhancements, including, but not limited to: New magnetos with no hourly inspection requirement New spark plugs and ignition wires New brakes Oleo strut rebuilt with new O-rings New damper Other maintenance enhancements as needed The engine has good compression numbers, with hundreds of hours of service life remaining. Based on how I operate and maintain the aircraft, I believe the engine could take me through more than five years of flying in its current condition and maintenance profile. The proficiency level required to safely operate this aircraft in its current condition is rudimentary and basic. Condition & Recent Improvements The aircraft has been hangared in California's dry climate throughout its ownership, and it shows. The exterior was repainted in 2017, along with: New headliner Brand-new one-piece windshield Other improvements I would rate the aircraft: Exterior: 6–7/10 Interior: 5–6/10 Insurance & Delivery The aircraft is currently insured for $75,000, at an annual cost of approximately $700. As a ferry pilot from San Francisco, I can deliver this aircraft anywhere in the world. We can depart tomorrow with the proper deposit.
