The Saratoga SP is widely regarded as one of the most capable and practical high-performance piston singles ever produced. The "SP" designation stands for Special Performance, reflecting the aircraft's more powerful 300 HP Lycoming engine and enhanced performance compared to earlier Saratoga variants. For owners looking to step up from aircraft such as the PA28 family, the Saratoga SP offers a natural progression, combining familiar Piper handling characteristics with significantly greater payload, range, speed, and cabin comfort. With its spacious six-seat interior, large baggage capacity, and excellent cross-country capability, it has become a favourite amongst private owners on the search for a genuine family touring aircraft.
The avionics suite offers an excellent blend of modern capability and proven reliability. At its centre is the Garmin GTN 750 WAAS GPS nav/com, complemented by a secondary com box, Trig TT31 Mode S transponder, and the Aspen Pro PFD. The aircraft is also equipped with the KFC 200 Flight Control System autopilot with electric trim, providing enhanced workload reduction and confidence during both IFR and VFR operations.
Inside the aircraft, I-TECO benefits from an upgraded interior in a striking two tone tan and black scheme.
