Regretful sale, the time has come to offer my much loved 1979 Piper Warrior II-161 VH-BYA to her next owner.
VH-BYA is a strong, reliable, and honest aircraft that has been exceptionally enjoyable to fly and own. Whether you are looking for an affordable hour builder, reliable cross- country tourer, or a solid all round aircraft, with excellent endurance (5 hours 42 minutes endurance). Fuel burn , 32 LH, Cruise 115-120 knots in still air,
MTOW increase (STC), 2440 Lbs or 1109 kg.
A significant amount of work has been completed over the past 4 years of my ownership, new Control Cables, Brake disc and shoes, rudder, JPI EDM-730, Copper primer fuel lines, Engine hoses, exhaust system, Allen Artificial Horizon.
Overhauled/ Rebuilt: All Five Brake cylinders, Airbox rebuilt, Propeller Balanced, Pitot system recertification 2026.
VH-BYA has been maintained by Steve Hobby of NorthEast Aviation both prior to and during my ownership.
The aircraft continues to be flown and presents as a reliable, honest Warrior ready to continue flying.
