1938 Beechcraft Staggerwing. Model E17B, serial number 233, 2016 Lindy Award winner at Oshkosh Aircraft suffered an engine failure after refueling, picking up water. Needs lower wings rebuilt; spars good, 2 small tears in the fuselage belly, Cowl needs chin section straightened. Needs new gear doors. Was landed with landing gear retracted. Engine suffered a non-powered single blade impact. Runout less than 0.0005". Additional available 300 HP R755A2 engine with logs from NEW, rebuild/production stand from Jacobs, NEW zero-time Hamilton Standard 2B20 prop. Has been disassembled, inspected and updated. Many articles written about this aircraft including Vintage Aviation mag. DO NOT EMBARRASS yourself and expect to steal it. It will NOT happen. Lost medical and the aircraft needs a new home. .
