Read More (About Gulfstream)Based in Savannah, Georgia, and wholly owned by General Dynamics, Gulfstream Aerospace is a preeminent name among manufacturers of business jets. With more than 2,900 aircraft in service around the world, Gulfstream offers a wide range of aircraft for executive travel. Since 1967, Gulfstream has also served government customers with special-mission aircraft, and nearly 200 Gulfstream aircraft now support a variety of governmental missions across 40 countries.
Founded in 1958 by Roy Grumman as the Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation, Gulfstream is credited with releasing the world’s first purpose-built business aircraft, the Gulfstream I. Other Gulfstream industry firsts include producing the first business jet to fly nonstop across the Atlantic Ocean (the Gulfstream GII), the first to fly over the North and South Poles (the Gulfstream GIII), the first to cross the Atlantic powered on biofuels (the Gulfstream G450), and the first civil aviation cabin to include satellite communications (the Gulfstream GIV).
Gulfstream’s current business jets range from the super-midsized Gulfstream G280, which seats up to 10, to its latest flagship, the 19-passenger G700. The G700 has a 7,500-nautical-mile (13,890-kilometre) range and a maximum speed of Mach 0.925, and it headlines a new family of Gulfstream aircraft that includes the clean-sheet G500 and the Gulfstream G600. The G700 also introduces Gulfstream’s all-new interior, including an ultra-galley with more than 3 metres (10 feet) of counter space and a passenger lounge, as well as a grand suite with a shower.
You’ll find a big selection of new and used Gulfstream jet aircraft for sale on ControllerEMEA.co.uk, including G550, G650, and G650ER business jets, among others.
