2015 EMBRAER PHENOM 300
Jet Aircraft
Brazilian aerospace firm Embraer entered the business aviation market in 2000 with the introduction of its Legacy jet, and today manufactures the Phenom and Praetor families of executive aircraft.
Read More (About Embraer)Brazilian aerospace firm Embraer was founded in 1969 with assistance from the Brazilian government, but it wasn’t until 2000 when it entered the business aviation sector with the introduction of its Legacy jet. That move led Embraer to launch Embraer Executive Jets in 2005. Today, Embraer’s executive jet lineup includes the entry-level Phenom 100EV, Phenom 300E light jet, midsize Praetor 500, and super-midsize Praetor 600. Embraer previously manufactured the Legacy 450, 500, and 650E executive jets and the ultra-large Lineage 1000E. ControllerEMEA.co.uk routinely hosts for-sale listings for pre-owned Legacy aircraft.
Embraer, the parent company of Embraer Executive Jets, also produces commercial aircraft through its E-Jets, E-Jets 2, and ERJ ranges, and military aircraft such as the A-29 Super Tucano light attack and advanced trainer aircraft and the multi-mission C-390 Millennium. Embraer’s first-ever aircraft was the EMB 110 Bandeirante, a twin-engine turboprop designed for civilian and military use.
Embraer claims to have delivered more than 8,000 executive, commercial, and defense airplanes combined worldwide, and says it’s the world’s third-largest commercial jet manufacturer behind Boeing and Airbus. The company has a number of international facilities, including locations in Farnborough and Dublin.
Embraer launched Embraer Executive Jets alongside the introduction of its Phenom 100 and Phenom 300-series business jets. The Phenom 100EV is certified for single-pilot operation and can transport four to seven passengers; Embraer says it combines jet performance and turboprop ergonomics. The Phenom 300E carries six to 10 passengers, has a top speed of 464 KTAS, and boasts a maximum range of 2,010 nautical miles (3,724 kilometres). The manufacturer claims it’s the fastest and longest-ranged single-pilot aircraft in business aviation.
The manufacturer says the Phenom 300 series has been the best-selling light jet for nine consecutive years. Embraer announced the enhanced Phenom 300E in January 2020 and made the first 300E delivery later that same year in June. In November 2020, the firm collaborated with Porsche on an exclusive, limited-edition Duet package that includes a custom Phenom 300E and Porsche 911 Turbo S with a number of shared design elements. The first Duet package was delivered in June 2021. In May 2021, Embraer announced the 600th delivery of a Phenom 300-series aircraft.
The Praetor platform is based on the Legacy 450 and 600 models. Embraer announced the Praetor 500 and 600 in 2018, and both received their Federal Aviation Administration, European Union Safety Agency, and Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency certifications less than a year later. The first Praetor 500 was delivered in 2019, and first Praetor 600 in 2020. Embraer says there were more than 160 Praetor aircraft in service as of mid-2021.
Embraer says Praetor jets are the most disruptive and technologically advanced in their respective classes. The Praetor 500, which seats seven to nine passengers, has a 3,340-nm (6,186-km) range and a top cruise speed of 466 ktas. The Praetor 600 seats up to 12 passengers and has the same cruise speed but a longer range of 4,018 nm (7,441 km).
